Greg Brown

Greg Brown has been a Fort Wayne resident since 1988. Graduating from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Greg obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.  

He specializes in bringing "high-tech" systems to the Real Estate market which allows his customers to have cutting edge information on all facets of home buying and selling. Greg also focuses on listening to his customers and making sure that they enjoy their Real Estate transaction while ensuring that their needs are satisfied. Greg's wife, Darlene, also has a Real Estate license so she can assist him in making the transactions run smoothly. She also maintains both of their websites and continues to improve the technology used in the office to increase the efficiency and accuracy of all transactions.

Greg and Darlene strive to be active in the community. They volunteer to teach 1st grade Sunday School at their church and joined a Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society where Greg was a co-captain. Darlene also volunteers for the quilting ministries at their church. They have a family membership at the local YMCA and enjoy exercising and working out together. They have two children who are their pride and joy. Their daughter Adora Mae is 5 years old and their son Joshua is 3 years old. Greg is an avid sports fan and loves going to many different sporting events as well.

Steve was born and raised in the Fort Wayne area and graduated from Carroll High School. He knows the market very well. Steve was an architectural engineer for 8 years prior to becoming a real estate agent. He has been in real estate design and sales for over 7 years. Steve specializes in subdividing and new construction in rural areas. He was the 2008 Women's Council of REALTOR's Fort Wayne Chapter President. He is married and has 2 wonderful children. Steve is active in the church and loves to ride his motorcycle in his free time. 

 


Brian Hearld

Brian is licensed in both Michigan and Indiana. He has been in the Million Dollar Club for 3 straight years. His background is in Business Management and Restaurant Hospitality. He is experienced in property management and lease to own. Brian also specializes in Lake Front Properties.

Accepting An Offer >Negotiating Factors

Negotiations for the sale of a home can be affected by emotional factors. For example, it is easy to be offended by someone who is making an offer on your property. Even if the buyers love your house, they are trying to negotiate the best possible price and terms. They probably will not let you know how much they want your home until they have negotiated a purchase agreement.

Buyers almost never write offers that please the sellers entirely. Offers and counter offers may be traded back and forth over days or weeks. Terms of the sale will be discussed and deadlines will be set. When there is finally a meeting of the minds, both sides may feel relieved but exhausted by the process. One of a real estate agent's most important jobs is to act as the intermediary during such negotiations. With your agents knowledge of financing, negotiation procedures, and the tax laws affecting real estate sales, agents come up with creative solutions to the challenges that may arise.
